Students | 6th-12th Grade

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the
right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have
died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will
appear with him in glory.
— Colossians 3:1-4

Vision

The student ministry at White House First Baptist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Overview

There are a variety of ways for middle and high school students to get involved throughout the year at White House First Baptist Church.

  • Students gather twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) for fellowship, prayer, and biblical teaching.

  • During the year there are multiple fun events where students are encouraged to come, invite friends, and simply have a good time together!

  • There are at least two retreat/camp opportunities a year intended to create time and space for students to worship and spend time engaged in bible study- usually student have the opportunity to attend a summer camp and a winter retreat.

  • Students are given multiple opportunities to engage in mission trips/activities throughout the year.

  • Periodically there are small groups that meet in the community for discipleship and accountability.

Weekly Events

Wednesday Nights

6:00 pm-7:30 pm

Middle and high school students gather together in the youth room for games, snacks, hangout time, worship, prayer, and biblical teaching. Teaching series generally change every 4-6 weeks and cover a multitude of topics. (e.g. books of the bible, topical issues, character studies, theology, etc.)

Sunday Mornings

Students spend time learning about the storyline of the gospel found throughout scripture from Genesis to Revelation. This is a Christ-centered, chronological bible study that reveals the unfolding of God’s plan to rescue his people through His Son, Jesus Christ.

  • Middle School: Emily Mofield
