WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

WE WANT TO LEAD BELIEVERS TO:

Understand Their Identity in Jesus

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. | Galatians 2:20

Jesus is life.

Make Worship A Lifestyle

Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship. | Romans 12:1

WHFBC leads its members to seek authentic worship not only during corporate times, but also daily life.

Minister Through Their Passions

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. | Colossians 3:17

Jesus gives us our gifts, abilities, interests, personalities, and other areas of our individuality to reach others for Him and to be used for His purposes.

Make Disciples

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. | Matthew 28:19-20

And these things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. | 2 Timothy 2:2

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT THE CHURCH

The Church is a Family

To sum it up, all of you be harmonious sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit. | 1 Peter 3:8 (NASB)

The Church is a Body

Just as each of us has the one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We each have different gifts according to the grace given us. | Romans 12:4-6

The Church is a Bride

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery, but I am talking about Christ and the church. | Ephesians 5:31-32

 OUR ROLES

The role of the Pastor is to LEAD. | Ephesians 4:11

The role of the Deacon is to SERVE. | Acts 6:2

The role of the Church is to MINISTER. | Hebrews 13:7,17
