Get CONNECTED at WHITE HOUSE first baptist

At First Baptist Church of White House, we believe God is urgently seeking to have a    relationship with all people and   that He freely gave us the gift of His Son to make this relationship possible.  As followers of Jesus Christ, each Christian has been called to forego the Lone Ranger lifestyle and to unite his heart and his life with Christ and his church.  It is through committed relationships with other Christians in a local church setting that God begins to transform each of us into authentic fully developing followers of Jesus.  When I am committed and invested in a local church, I am in a relationship that spurs me on to growth in Christian character, wisdom, and obedience.

The local church is God’s strategy to reach and to develop His people for Himself and His glory.  FBC White House is absolutely committed to leading people to know, experience, and honor God in their daily lives by creating intentional ministry in a nurturing environment where people are encouraged and equipped to become fully developing followers of Jesus Christ.  By striving to abide by this mission, we are helping individual Christians to become the people that God has called and designed them to be as they are enabled and released to accomplish His mission through the ministries of the local church.

It is our earnest desire to create a church that is willing, able, and determined to go into the world to personally touch people for God that they might receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  It is also our intention to help all Christians to grow up in their faith to discover God’s specific plan for their lives.  Thus, we want to invite and assist our guests and regular attenders to become members of FBC White House so that they are supported in this life-long adventure of faith.  We understand that an individual’s faith in Jesus Christ will directly influence what they think, the decisions they make, and how they will act and relate toward others.  Understanding this reality, we believe this biblical community is best realized in and through the mission and ministries of the local church.

As you connect with people here, you will experience life in the church as God meant it to be.  The primary place of connecting is in Bible Study Fellowships.  This is a place where you can come together to form friendships, to share life, and to help each other grow spiritually.  Friendships that will be there when the fellowship is meeting and outside of the meetings.  You will grow in devotion to Christ.

Full devotion is a journey believers should be engaged in for the rest of their lives.  In essence, it is establishing proper relationship in all of the areas of a person's life.  The key areas in becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ:

Spiritual Growth - Developing an increasing awareness of the Christ within you and learning to live as the  loving, honorable, courageous, and integrity-filled person he rebirthed you to be.  Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 4:12-13

Transforming Relationships - Finding true community by experiencing true spiritual transformation that only happens in the context of relationships with other believers.  Acts 2:42-47; John 13:35

Ministry - Developing the spiritual gifts God has given to all who follow Him, which enable them to lovingly serve one another.  Ephesians 6:7.

Stewardship - Realizing all we have is really His and that all we really have is Him.  1 Corinthians 4:2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Spiritual Influence - Sharing all that we are and have received from God, with those who haven't, because they matter to God and ought to matter to us.  Matthew 5:14, 16
